CARDINAL IN AUSTRALIA SUPPORTS DISASTROUS FAMILY LAW POLICY:
A conservative opposition high ranking
politician from the Liberal (Conservative)
Party, Tony Abbott, says he has support from the Catholic
Cardinal - on election to office, to re-implement ‘fault
based divorce’ law as an optional alternative
for Catholicsto the existing no-fault
divorce law. Australia was one of the first countries
to introduce 'no-fault divorce' (in 1976);
the only ground for divorce in Australia is that the marriage
has irretrievably broken down and the couple have been
separated for 12 months.
The law the Cardinal is
supporting will be taking us back to the ugly old days
of the 50’s and 60’s. It will be a huge bonanza
for lawyers, private investigators and prostitutes. It
will bring about terrible injustice to those couple not
able to afford huge legal and other fees for a simple
divorce. Those who were around in the fifties, sixties
and early seventies know the terrible situation that existed
in divorce matters. Private investigators were hired either
to put a spouse under surveillance or snoop around to
get damaging photos as proof of adultery. These days electronic
bugs and micro-cameras could be planted to see and hear
every intimate word said before, during and after sexual
intercourse. Alternatively, private enquiry agents could
rent a prostitute to pose naked in bed for adultery pictures.
The whole thing is absolutely disgusting.
Get real Cardinal Pell, the unacceptably high divorce
rate in the U.S, Western Europe and Australia is not because
of 'no-fault' divorce. There is no link, no correlation
between 'no-fault divorce' and high marriage breakup.
There are other more relevant, very urgent economic and
social factors to take into consideration - including
a most fundamental problem: the Church
is applying first century rationale to daily life in the
twenty first century when the problems of life now are
hugely and immeasurably different.
Victor's advice to Cardinal Pell:
make theology consistent
with the empirically elicited information about the afterlife
- your real mission in this life - especially where divorce
is irrelevant to spiritual growth!
PHYSICAL/MATERIALIZATION
MEDIUMSHIP
Physical/materialization mediumship is
perhaps the most powerful evidence for the afterlife
- and includes 'psychokinetic phenomena' such
as the production of knocks and raps, the movement of
objects such as a table with no seen cause, the influencing
of a random number generator. It also includes transfiguration,

DEVELOPMENT CIRCLES We also know that the ability
to be a physical medium is a very rare
and sometimes genetic gift—many of the famous
physical mediums came from a long line of mediums and
had siblings who shared their talent. But even if someone
has the natural potential it needs to be "developed"
by a group or “circle” of people who are
prepared to meet regularly together and sit in the dark
for, say, an hour and a half every week for a number
of years. Often nothing happens for the first two or
three years- Leslie Flint,
the famous direct voice medium (See Chap.
15) sat with a group weekly for seven years before
anything significant happened. Dedication, patience,
harmony and the right combination of energies in the

Beliefs are ‘subjective’ and are subject
to fundamental errors and to complete invalidation –

by science and by evidence which is objective and repeatable.

high profile Sudanese woman journalist is facing 40
lashes after being accused of wearing "indecent"
clothes, with 10 women already whipped for similar offences
against Islamic law. (Picture shows Ms Lubna Ahmed al-Hussein,
journalist, in pants - that indecent?). The women have
been accused of dressing “indecently’ (for
wearing long pants) while dining at a popular restaurant
in Khartoum, the capital. Police stormed the building
and arrested 13 women, 10 of whom pleaded guilty and
received 10 lashes each. Journalist Lubna Ahmed al-Hussein
said, “ I was wearing trousers and a blouse and
the 10 who were lashed were dressed like me.”
Inevitably, Human Rights groups will be taking on the
matter: why would wearing trousers
be seen to be indecent and warrant whipping - a form
of torture which has been outlawed by the United Nations
International Covenants on Human Rights? The old adage:

if one claims that he was only following orders?

question. If a person knows he/she is doing wrong, is
being cruel or nasty or dirty or vindictive or is aggressing
directly or indirectly against another human being negative,
karmic consequences are inevitable. At the Nuremberg
Trials a number of Hitler’s henchmen who committed
atrocities claimed they were just following orders and
therefore they should not be found guilty as charged.
The war tribunals found them guilty because it was easy
to see that what they were doing was ghastly. But even
at police, espionage or military level no one can say,
“I was just following orders.” Whilst many
of the police officers, judges and espionage people
are reasonable and some are very dedicated people, those
who exceed their powers or indulge in 'dirty work' will
have to pay the price. The law of karma is inevitable. SOMETHING
