COMMENTARY: MEDIUMSHIP - REBUTTING THE 'PRESUMPTION OF FRAUD'
It is critical for all mediums- especially physical mediums- to fully understand that the onus is on them to completely rebut ‘the presumption of fraud’. This means they need to produce evidence of survival- detailed evidence that can withstand stringent empirical scrutiny. Physical mediumship (where objective phenomena can be seen by all present) can be stunningly impressive but security protocols need to be tight. While this may be sometimes inconvenient and time consuming, it is unfortunately very necessary. To be taken seriously it has to be shown in absolute terms that fraud is not and cannot be taking place. The medium needs to be restrained to the satisfaction of independent observers. Sitters and the venue itself need to be thoroughly searched. Omission to remove suspicion of fraud will leave unnecessary doubts that will always remain. Over the years we have had many wonderful physical mediums and spirit teams who have worked closely with researchers to produce overwhelming 'gold-standard' evidence for survival which needs to be preserved. Their discipline and dedication to spirit needs to be remembered and celebrated. We recently featured the work of the Scole group and the book of Robin Foy "Witnessing the Impossible" which demonstrates the gold standard. And in the work of the Hamiltons (see next item) we have another wonderful example of systematic documented research into physical mediumship which Walter Falk has worked tirelessly to bring to public attention.

DR T.G. HAMILTON - MEDICAL SCIENTIST - BRILLIANT SYSTEMATIC INVESTIGATION OF MEDIUMSHIP EXPLAINED ONLINE
Dr. Thomas Glen Hamilton was a respected Canadian physician and member of the Manitoba legislature who spent the last quarter of his life investigating psychic phenomena, together with his co-researchers wife Lilian and daughter Margaret, .

Their incredible full collection of notes and photographs have now been made available online thanks to the work of Walter Falk.

A retired teacher of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, Walter sat in a physical mediumship circle in Winnipeg from 1999 to 2007. Over that period Dr. Hamilton communicated his wish that Falk take a look at his notes archived at the University of Manitoba. These communications took place over twenty different séances through at least four different mediums. Finally, in 2004, about five years after the first communication, Falk made his way to the University and asked to see the files. He was astonished at what he found and it took him only half an hour of random reading to become convinced that there was something of great value here.

Over the next few weeks he photographed the entire collection (about 5000 images). These he transferred onto CD and began to transcribe the notes. Anyone watching these videos created by Walter Falk will be impressed by the detail of the Hamiltons' research and the integrity of the mediums he worked with. In this section we see how they were able to get wax impressions of the fingerprints of materialized entities.

CLOSED MINDED SCIENTIST DAVID DEUTSCH SHOWN TO BE UNINFORMED AND UTTERLY RIDICULOUS ABOUT THE PARANORMAL: What happens when a scientist – such as quantum physicist David Deutsch– allows his deeply negative anti-paranormal prejudice to take over his decision making process? Inevitably, this scientist Deutsch will NOT be able to perceive science with true empirical equanimity and makes a fool of himself, leaving a legacy of idiocy about the paranormal to remember him by.

Some years ago this David Deutsch attacked that genius of physics, Nobel Laureate Prof Brian Josephson – saying that telepathy was rubbish. But to-day, many years later, we know that the evidence for telepathy is overwhelming. In 1997 Dr Dean Radin, director of the Consciousness Research Laboratory at the University of Nevada, published a ground breaking book "The Conscious Universe–the Scientific Truth of Psychic Phenomena". In it he analyzes the overwhelming scientific evidence for telepathy and clairvoyance. Read Chapter 1. Typical of the results was an analysis of all the experiments on psychic abilities conducted at Stanford Research Institute from 1973 to 1988 by Edwin May. The analysis was based on 154 experiments with more than 26,000 separate trials conducted over 16 years. The statistical results of this analysis indicated odds against chance of more than a billion billion to one (Radin 1997:101)

PROFESSOR RUPERT SHELDRAKE ON TELEPATHY Closed minded skeptic claimed he had evidence against telepathy but unfortunately "the dog ate his papers." Very funny.

ROBERT JAHN- AN OPEN MINDED SCIENTIST
and the staff of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research laboratory of Princeton University explain how their meticulous gold standard research into mind-matter interaction has challenged traditional science.

Robert Jahn and Dunne's new book on the PEAR experiments Consciousness and the Source of Reality points out another fascinating aspect of their research- precognitive remote perception.

Jahn and Dunne created remote viewing experiments where pairs of participants were given the role of 'traveler' or 'viewer'. Lyn McTaggart writes in her review::

"The traveling partner would then follow the standard protocol of remote-viewing experiments. They’d spend 10–15 minutes at the target site at the assigned time, recording their impressions of it, taking photos and following the checklist of questions produced by the PEAR team. Meanwhile, back at the lab, the remote viewer would record and draw his or her impressions of the traveler’s destination, from half an hour to nine days before the traveler arrived. This was remote viewing with an interesting twist: the viewer had to see the target before his partner had even chosen it. Nevertheless, remote viewing out of time worked; of PEAR’s 336 formal trials, more than two-thirds offered accuracy far beyond that achievable by chance. EARTHQUAKES, TSUNAMIS, NATIONAL CRISES: A number of people are asking are the upheavals we are experiencing in Japan, New Zealand, in the Middle East to-day God inspired? Information directly from the afterlife tells us that planet Earth is still evolving and experiencing ‘purification’. Accidents, tsunamis, radiation scare, earthquakes and other earth shattering events do happen but not because there is some Great Power sadistically wanting these upheavals of earthquakes and other huge and not so huge phenomena to happen. Whilst this may sound perhaps a little clinical, we have to do what we can given the circumstances. Perhaps also these are opportunities to learn the very important lesson of ‘detachment’ – that whilst we can feel sympathy, sadness and sorrow for the negative things that are happening – man or earth made – we can distance ourselves, we can detach but keep on doing the best we can in the given challenging circumstances. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE? DIRECT VOICE FROM THE AFTERLIFE Leslie Flint was a "direct-voice medium." This is a kind of physical mediumship in which spirit people speak directly with their loved ones using an artificial voicebox made of ectoplasm, a substance taken from the medium. The spirit person is doing the speaking but the voices may have slight characteristics of the medium. In this recording a spirit named Ted Butler Ted tells how he was bewildered for weeks after his death. He walked around among the living, taking streetcars (trams) and busses, not able to communicate or touch things. After several weeks, a woman sitting beside him on a bus spoke to him. That was surprising to him because no one had been able to see him before that, even though he had tried repeatedly to speak to people. He began a conversation with her and discovered that she had been watching him for some time, waiting for the opportunity to help him make the transition from life in the body to the afterlife realm. She was a woman who had lived in the town before her death and was helping people make the transition into the afterlife.

GOLD STANDARD MEDIUMSHIP- THE RETURN OF BESSY MANNING. In his book This is Spiritualism Maurice Barbanell records a direct voice seance he attended with famous medium Estelle Roberts. The voice of a young girl came through. She explained that her name was Bessy Roberts, she was 22 years old and had died of tuberculosis the previous Easter. She described herself and her brother Tommy who was with her and then gave her mother's address and asked Maurice Barbanell to get in touch with her. WHO WAS RED CLOUD?
Red Cloud was an exceptional spiritual teacher, and the spirit guide of outstanding English medium Estelle Roberts (1889–1970) -see above item. Their work together became so highly trusted that, in response to demand, Estelle demonstrated her mediumship innumerable times at large halls in London and around the country. These included twenty demonstrations at the famous Royal Albert Hall, where all 7000 seats were occupied on most of those occasions. QUESTION: Do we lose our individuality when we die?

Victor: I tried to ignore this question for many years because I could not find authority for it. But here is credible information allegedly transmitted from the 6th level by an energy called AF - I cannot guarantee it is correct - it may be.

Directly from the afterlife, "I’ll give you a brief description of how it works. The spirit body is composed of much finer stuff than the physical body. It carries the ability to sense pleasure only, not pain. The atoms which comprise the body are farther apart than your physical counterpart.
