COMMENTARY: A TIME FOR REFLECTION AND INSPIRATION Many traditions teach that the winter solstice is a time when communication with the spirit world becomes easiest.
Silver Birch, a highly credible afterlife teacher who spoke through trance medium Maurice Barbanell, claimed that when he lived as part of an indigenous community "we held for many days what you call séances [and] we received at those festivals much inspiration".
From the spirit world,
he says
"we now use it to withdraw from the world of matter to get new power of the spirit so that we can bring new light to the world... We take counsel, we share experiences, we learn how far we have succeeded or failed. New plans are discussed. We meet those who sent us on our mission... For a short time, I am in the spheres where I now belong, to feel once again that vitalising power of the spirit, so invigorating in its strength, so beautiful in its fullness, making you realise what life is when you are able to experience it in the higher realms of the spirit".
He talks of being with Jesus whom he calls the Nazarene:
"not the Nazarene of the churches, exalted into a deified state, but a great spirit who strives still to serve through many instruments". Read the full extract.
AFTERLIFE: THE EVIDENCE PRESENTED
Stafford Betty Ph.D., Professor of World Religions, is an afterlife researcher and novelist. His latest book, The Afterlife Therapist (2020), is a novel set in the afterlife and brings to vivid life his research. His nonfiction books include The Afterlife Unveiled (2011), Heaven and Hell Unveiled (2014), and When Did You Ever Become Less by Dying? Afterlife: The Evidence (2016) In this talk he begins by succinctly sharing his conclusions about the afterlife and then goes on to illustrate some of them with case-studies from his recent novel. He will be doing a further talk at 6 p.m. Thursday 17th California time https://zoom.us/j/7595442928
YOUR LOVED ONES ARE WITH YOU "The one thing that brings the greatest sorrow to those who have passed on is our excessive grief. This, curiously enough, acts as a deterrent to their getting close to us. They do not like the constant visits to the graveyard as they know they are not there. Most Spiritualists make a habit of placing flowers near the photograph of the one who has passed on, particularly remembering anniversaries. This serves to perpetuate the idea that the spirit is constantly in the home." Read the full article.
NDE BEAUTIFULLY EXPLAINED Lani Leary, Ph.D., author of No
One Has To Die Alone: Preparing for a Meaningful Death, describes the Near-Death Experience in which she learned that her loved ones had always been near her and knew every detail of her life.
WHY DO PEOPLE DIE YOUNG?
When
a young person dies
we talk of a "life cut short". Was he/she meant
to die at that age or could they have been saved to continue
their life on earth?
Victor: What has been transmitted from
the afterlife
is that the time of birth and the time of death are usually
known by the soul. Some say that when we incarnate we
have a life plan with alternative possible exit points.
People who die at a young age, like James Dean (pictured)
who died at 24, could have planned that with a Master
Guide. It just may be that they had only specific things
they wanted to experience, often in service to the soul growth of others. Very likely he would have planned
to go back to the afterlife dimension rather than spending
unnecessary additional years on Earth.
RESEARCHING MEDIUMSHIP
Canadian afterlife researcher Donna Smith is director of Metaphysics Research, an organisation she founded in 2009 to apply her skills in scientific analysis to mental and physical mediumship, OBEs, NDEs, past-life regression, energy healing, past life regressions, and ITC. In this talk, she discusses her book Medium7 which presents the results of a detailed study of mediumship. You can learn more about Donna's work from her Youtube channel.
THE NON-BELIEVERS' EXPERIMENTS
Donna Smith had an independent person advertise for three people who were firmly against mediumship. They were paid to participate in a reading with mental medium Chris Stillar. The readings were filmed, analyzed and the sitters were interviewed.
Below is the reading with sitter Chad that he said in his debriefing interview was life-changing.
BRINGING THE TWO WORLDS TOGETHER
Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson, speaking from the afterlife through Anthony Borgia tells us in Life in the World Unseen that:
"Neither was it intended that the two worlds, ours and yours, should be as they are now -- so far apart in thought and contact. The day will assuredly come when our two worlds will be closely interrelated, when communication between the two will be a commonplace of life, and then the great wealth of resources of the spirit world will be open to the earth world, to draw upon for the benefit of the whole human race".
AFTERLIFE ANSWERS - PART 25
Once a month in our Zoom meetings Jurgen Ziewe answers questions about what he has experienced in more than 40 years of out-of-body experiences. In this episode:
Do the dead take an interest in us or their past down here
Why would we want to choose to incarnate?
The total view of yourself from your soul level.
You build a new persona before reincarnation and some people "chicken out" at the last moment.
THE GREATEST MEDIUM THE WORLD HAS SEEN? Have
you ever heard of a medium being voted the most famous
and revered person in a country? Chico Xavier (1910-2002)
was. Michael Tymn writes: "Xavier, who dropped out
of school at age 13, produced, by means of automatic writing,
458 books with sales in excess of 50 million. All of the
royalties were donated to over 4,000 hospitals, retirement
homes, soup kitchens, etc. while Xavier lived on a very modest
income from his government job and pension. In 2000, a
newspaper in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais asked
its readers to vote for "person of the century."
With more than 700,000 readers responding, Xavier won
the vote over an aviation pioneer, a former president
of the country, and the legendary soccer player, Pelé.
More than 120,000 people lined up in a queue over two
miles long to file past Xavier's coffin and 30,000 joined
in the funeral procession. The state governor declared
three days of mourning."

CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN THE KALAHARI
Negotiation expert William Ury writes:
"Almost 30 years ago, I was invited to South Africa to do negotiation work. I decided to take an extra month to spend time with the San Bushmen of the Kalahari to study how they resolve conflicts. I was interested in them because, until not long before, they’d lived as hunters and gatherers, the way of life humans had followed for 99 percent of our history. For hunting, the San use deadly poison arrows. So what do they do when tempers rise and conflict threatens to turn destructive? As I saw for myself, someone first goes and hides the poison arrows. Then everyone sits down in a circle and begins to talk and to listen, often for days on end. They don’t rest until together they’ve reached a resolution or, better yet, reconciliation. And if tempers are still hot, one of the parties is sent off to visit relatives for a few months to cool down".
