COMMENTARY:
THE THAI RESCUE MIRACLE All
the world was stunned by the plight of the helpless
children and their coach in Thailand this week. Apart
from the rescue itself, what was miraculous was the
way people all over the world became united in their
hopes and prayers to save these children. For once,
we put aside our distractions and remembered our common
humanity.
Before this incident, the whole world was focused on
divisions: politics, trade wars, terrorism, wars and
butchery in the Middle East. But this incident reminded
us of the best of human nature - the way people can
band together selflessly in an emergency and risk, and
indeed sacrifice, their own lives to save others. Hundreds
of people from all over the world worked together tirelessly,
to see what contribution they could make.
Congratulations to all these people - for their love,
for their willingness to help, for their unselfish motives
and for their human concern. And congratulations to
all those who extended their energy, cared and prayed.
Something beautiful has been created and we all feel
uplifted and inspired.

HEALING IN THE SPOTLIGHT AGAIN
Spiritual and Energy healing have a long history in
every culture and have been a prominent part
of Spiritualism. Charlie Goldsmith, based in Melbourne,
Australia, has been healing people with energy for 20
years but he keeps coming up against extreme skepticism
in the media. He insists that he will continue to validate
energy healing until medicine starts asking questions,
such as: "Why is this happening? What is the difference
between someone who can do this and someone who can't?"
In one University study, twenty-four of 32 patients
requested relief from pain. Of 50 reports of pain, 38
