COMMENTARY : WILL THE WORLD END ON 21st December 2012 as predicted by the Mayans? The Mayan Calender supposedly predicted major changes in the next few weeks. Some five months ago I said that an intelligence from the afterlife ('William' - David Thompson's guide) transmitted information that the earth is not going to be destroyed. Nor is the earth going to suffer major damage - physically. There could be other changes that those in the paranormal talk about, the coming of a 'New Consciousness'. For some twenty centuries, religions dominated the heart, mind and soul of every man, woman and child. We all have seen the huge shift away from domination by religion.

To-day, probably for the first time of history of mankind, we have objective and repeatable EVIDENCE amounting to proof that consciousness survives physical death. Traditional beliefs promoted by major religions - such as hell for eternity, the Adam and Eve myth, 'staying asleep underground' when we die - which dominated the world for nearly 2,000 are being a rapidly abandoned.

My own prediction is that over time, there will be a new 'awakening' about why we are here on planet earth and that it will become universally accepted that we survive death.

REBUTTING THE MATERIALISTS on Near Death Experiences (NDE'S):
Eben Alexander's wonderful publicity for the afterlife is causing some interviewers to try to present an alternative materialist explanation for NDEs. So you may hear a token skeptic coming up with one of the many attempts to explain away NDE's as oxygen deprivation, the dying brain, etc. etc. This is a favorite one:

" Fighter pilots and astronauts describe EXACTLY the same response during training when they are put in that giant centrifuge to simulate G force, blood and oxygen rush from the brain and they often black out. They report the same 'light at the end of the tunnel' , they are often accompanied by dreams of the past, again flashbacks of the past in 'shut down' mode."

The fact is that the experience of seeing "light at the end of a tunnel" and then blacking out caused by oxygen deprivation is NOTHING like a full-blown NDE. Pilots and others who black out from oxygen deprivation, UNLIKE near death experience survivors:
1. don't report being able to see things while in their blacked out state that were really there and they could not possible have seen (veridical experiences).
2. don't have a structured life review
3. don't see everything that happened to them from the point of view of other people in their lives
4. don't come back having met deceased relatives they did not know existed
5. don't recall being told told to come back because their life's work is not completed
6. are not given previews of their future life
7. are not sometimes cured of fatal illnesses
8. don't meet others from their group during the nde
9. don't become psychic afterwards
10. Don't have a subsequent 75% divorce rate
11. Don't give up their jobs to do work which is more spiritual
12. Don't experience all the many physical side effects of a NDE

DR PETER FENWICK REBUTS THE OXYGEN DEPRIVATION ARGUMENT Dr Peter Fenwick is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a neuropsychiatrist with an international reputation—a specialist in the mind/brain interface and the problem of consciousness. He is Britain's leading clinical authority on the NDE and is President of the International Association for the Near-Death Studies. With his wife Elizabeth, also a Cambridge-trained professional scientist, Dr Peter Fenwick made a thorough investigation of the argument by skeptics and materialist psychologists that a near death experience is caused by the physiological effects of the dying brain (Fenwick 1996).

He is scathing with the skeptics:

(They) just don't have the knowledge...So much rubbish is talked about Near-Death Experiences by people who don't have to deal with these things on a daily basis. So I'm absolutely sure that such experiences are not caused by oxygen shortages, endorphins or anything of that kind. And certainly none of these things would account for the transcendental quality of many of these experiences, the fact that people feel an infinite sense of loss when they leave them behind.. What is quite clear is that any disorientation of brain function leads to a disorientation of perception and reduced memory. You can't normally get highly-structured and clearly remembered experiences from a highly damaged or disoriented brain (Fenwick 1995: 47).

HOSPICE NURSE SHARES EXPERIENCES WITH THE DYING Becki Hawkins, a hospice nurse and a chaplain sat by the bedside of seriously ill and terminally ill patients for more than 30 years as an oncology and hospice nurse. During that time, she listened to patients describe various kinds of spiritual experiences, including near-death experiences. Informed police the three killers were responsible for another homicide of Louis May. Police confirmed the information was accurate.
Detective Edward Head stated that he had invited the forensic psychic Nancy Myer because she was great help to him in the past- had found missing persons. Detective Head contacted Nancy Myer about this case.

Victor: You will have to learn the theory of music first, then the instrument of your choice - you said the violin. On crossing over you will take with you all the knowledge and memories from life on earth. If you did not play music, you would have to learn music. That would be no problem at all - as in the afterlife there are the best music teachers. Some people think that on crossing over you get to know and do everything you like. Whatever you did on earth will stay with you, but no one becomes all knowing, all powerful on crossing over. You will have all the time to do whatever you want to do - especially when you are interested to develop your particular interest in music - especially if you want to become a master musician.

INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC: KNOCKING ON HEAVEN'S DOOR AND THROW THESE GUNS AWAY. A most wonderful, most memorable and highly melodious song that will live with us for all time: Knocking on Heaven's Door - written by Bob Dylan. In 1996 and with the consent of Bob Dylan, Scottish musician Ted Christopher wrote a new verse in memory of the 16 children and teacher killed in the Dunblane massacre. The recording of the revised version of the song, was released on 9 December 1996 in the UK, and reached number 1. The proceeds went to charities for children [the Scots word for children is 'bairns'].
This spectacular picture below shows the actual children and the teacher who were brutally massacred in the classroom. The chorus is sung by the siblings of those who were killed.
