COMMENTARY: AFTERLIFE EVIDENCE: GREAT PROGRESS OVER FORTY YEARS. One of the areas of afterlife evidence, the Near Death experience, seems to have become the most publicised. It is one of a growing number of areas where people can have their own direct afterlife experience. It is also an area of evidence that seems to very acceptable to conservative Christians and 'atheists' alike. I am including a most fascinating video below made around 1978 (fifth item below) - showing some of the early afterlife evidence going public for the first time.

No doubt, during the last thirty five years the afterlife evidence has taken the world by storm. Mainsteam journals and magazines around the world now have mediums writing columns for them. Nearly every day there will be some program about the paranormal - and the afterlife on television. People see great mediumship demonstrated in relaxed and decidedly normal situations.



NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES ON COVER OF NEWSWEEK According to Dr Eban Alexander's press release his new book is being launched on October 23rd. His publishers Simon and Shuster have been doing a great job of getting maxium publicity for the book and for NDEs. There are many great books about near death experiences but the mainstream media love a story about a medical doctor who says "Heaven is real."

This week's Newsweek cover story of Dr Eben Alexander begins with his qualifications both as a MD and as a skeptic:
" As a neurosurgeon, I did not believe in the phenomenon of near-death experiences. I grew up in a scientific world, the son of a neurosurgeon. I followed my father’s path and became an academic neurosurgeon, teaching at Harvard Medical School and other universities. I understand what happens to the brain when people are near death, and I had always believed there were good scientific explanations for the heavenly out-of-body journeys described by those who narrowly escaped death."

PROFESSOR ROBERT ALMEDER of Georgia State University, discusses his discovery of the afterlife through the work of Dr Ian Stevenson. He claims that it is irrational not to accept the evidence that human beings are more than their bodies. The video was originally posted as one of a number of interviews by Stephen Sakellarios and was put onto Youtube.com without his permission. The interview is part of Stephen's excellent documentary "In Another Life- Reincarnation in America."

GREAT VIDEO OF AFTERLIFE FROM 34 YEARS AGO Thanks to Winston Wu for spotting Sunn Classics "Beyond and Back" 1978 video which also featured doctors' NDE stories. It was one of the first videos about NDEs and it is interesting that they felt it necessary to change the name of Dr George Ritchie to "Paul Kelly". An evangelical Christian production, the video is an excellent summary of several areas of afterlife evidence including mediumship. It is sympathetic to Spiritualism and even shows Arthur Ford's message from Harry Houdini - a most fascinating and a brilliant record of how the presentation of the paranormal started in the media.

NOTICE TO ALL WHO ACCEPT THE AFTERLIFE: There are a number of television and radio interviewers using the word 'believers' - for those who accept the afterlife. Tell these interviewers, the journalists and radio interviewers - and those others who are still yet uninformed about using the correct terminology. We are 'NOT believers' - we ACCEPT the afterlife evidence. There is a huge difference between 'believing' and 'accepting the evidence'. 'Beliefs' do NOT amount to proof of anything - and any belief could be wrong, because anything 'subjective' is subject to complete invalidation. BUT accepting the repeatable evidence for the afterlife has NEVER been rebutted by any genius materialist closed minded skeptic - or anybody else. So keep it in mind always, we ACCEPT the EVIDENCE, we do NOT just 'believe' - because we have irrefutable proof for the afterlife.
