COMMENTARY: A CROSS-EXAMINATION:
'THE GREATEST HOAX IN PARANORMAL HISTORY' So, for 40 long years we have skeptics in the media mistakenly saying that the paranormal does not exist because no-one has claimed "the million dollar prize" being offered for a genuine paranormal demonstration. What they don't seem to understand is that the Challenge is an ILLUSION- a magician's trick. The instigator of the Challenge has a long history of organizing hoaxes and deceptions. And I call this offer the GREATEST HOAX in paranormal history. After my cross examination of Professor Hawking (two weeks ago) a number of subscribers requested me to "CROSS EXAMINE" the organizer of the Challenge. It is submitted that the following is what a ‘cross-examination’ of J Randi would be like. The “answers” have been taken from his website and from other statements on public record. See next item:

THE EARTH AND SPIRITUALITY - DR ERVIN LASZLO ON 2012 Some people take the view that because they feel confident about their place in the afterlife they don't need to do anything about the state of the world. In a week where scientists are warning that the oceans are dying and overuse of antibiotics in meat production is ruining their effectiveness perhaps we need to think about the connection between our spirituality and our level of concern for the planet. The third problem a person may have on crossing over is when you expect that there will be a holy figure to meet you. Crossing over with a fixed mind expecting someone like Jesus, Krishna, the Buddha, Mohammed or the angels or even God to meet you could be very dangerous. This is because we have highly credible information transmitted directly from the afterlife that usually loved ones will meet the one crossing over. If the person has a FIXED MIND that a holy figure will meet them it can lead to them 'freezing' in the astral level. There will be confusion and anxiety not knowing what's happening. Avoid this problem by having an open mind and expecting that someone close to you, a loved one, will be there to meet you.

Highly gifted medium Alison Dubois has a timely reminder in her newsletter about connecting with our loved ones on anniversaries or special holidays. Although she mentions Father's Day it applies to any special occasion:

He’ll join you. They can participate in your life still. I think it’s important for the living to understand that you’re not powerless when it comes to the Otherside. By thinking of your dad or granddad it’s like placing a phone call to him. When your energy is focused on him he’s energetically drawn to you and on Father’s Day the energy is strong when it comes to our dads. Spend Father’s Day telling funny stories about your dad and reveling in being his child and most importantly talk to him."

EVP TESTIMONIAL "My name is Amanda H.. I had the opportunity to speak to my Father and my Mother via EVP. I am the cousin of John Joseph Wright who you are featuring in you afterlife reports at the moment. I can verify what John is telling you. I have been present at many contact sessions he has had with Annie. It's amazing. I decided I'd try to speak to my Dad. I invested in a voice recorder and set to. I took John's advice and went ahead. It felt a little silly to start with talking in a room on my own, but when I took the recordings to John he removed all the background noise and hey presto there was my Dad. It couldn't have been anyone else. The manner in which he spoke was him to a 'T'. Another voice was on the recording, more quiet than the first few words. This voice said 'Is that our Mand?' The hairs stood up on the back of my neck at this point as no one called me 'Our Mand' except my Mum! It felt absolutely wonderful. Just to know that I wasn't really on my own. It was very obvious that they were alongside me even though I couldn't see them. My Dad's reply was 'What do you want?' This was so typical of him. There was no mistaking either of the responses I received."

INVESTIGATION OF ICELANDIC PHYSICAL MEDIUM
Physical mediumship provides a wonderful opportunity for open minded scientists to investigate psychic phenomena and the afterlife. However it comes as such a shock that the rational mind cannot at first accept it. The career of physical medium Indridi Indridason is described in The Icelandic Physical Medium Indridi Indridason by Loftur R. Gissurarson & Erlendur Haraldsson, Proceedings of the Society for Psychical Research, 57, 1989, 53-148. Indridason's career as a medium was cut short by illness after only four years. He died in 1912 at the age of only 29. During his brief career, he produced most of the phenomena that other physical mediums have produced, including levitations, appearance of lights, odors, direct voice communication, materializations, apports, and poltergeist phenomena. On one occasion his arm totally dematerialized. He conducted sittings for the Bishop of Iceland, a magistrate, the British Consul and Dr (later Professor) Hannesson a leading skeptic. In spite of strict controls he produced full materialization in light:

'Then Jensen became visible in the [self-luminous] light...He was dressed in a white, very fine robe...The light radiated from him and we saw him in various locations in the room...Sometimes he stood on the chair-back behind the medium'.....the light produced by Jensen was sufficient to illuminate the entranced Indridi, and that, 'Many times we saw the medium and this materialized being simultaneously..Read a short summary of the work of this outstanding medium...

S.S.E. TALKS- DR STEPHEN BRAUDE REPORTS ON HIS EXPERIENCES WITH THE SAME FELIX CIRCLE to a group of scientists who know nothing about physical mediumship. It is important to note that his report is based on a sitting in March 2010 and the Circle has developed a gret deal since then.

INTERLIFE RESEARCH
Most people have heard of past life regression, where a hypnotist asks a patient to go back to the source of a problem and the patient begins to describe a past life. But not so many people are aware that some hypnotists claim to have been able to take people back to the time between lives- "the interlife period". Therapists seem to agree that regressing subjects into the time between lives requires the deeper levels of the theta state. They claim to have discovered a common pattern of what happens after we die and before we are born. Ian Lawton's The Big Book of the Soul contains in chapters 5 and 6 an excellent summary of the findings of twelve different regressionists including Michael Newton, Joel Whitton, Dolores Cannon, and Peter Ramster about such topics as the death experience, being welcomed, healing/rest/integration, the life review, learning with a group, life planning, life previews. Although a bit heavy on the "ghost hunting" sensationalism, the series raises the genuine problems faced by children who are natural mediums in families and communities where there is no understanding and support.

FOX SISTER INVESTIGATED
What many people don't know is that Sir William Crookes, then the leading scientist in England, did a great deal of psychic investigation with American medium Kate Fox (pictured), one of the Fox sisters whose mediumship had started the Spiritualist movement in the USA. Crookes stated that he witnessed that Kate Fox was able to produce raps loud enough to be heard several rooms away simply by placing her hands on any substance. He also said that while he was holding both her hands in his left hand he had seen a luminous hand materialize, take a pencil from his right hand, write a message on a sheet of paper, throw the pencil down and then fade into darkness. He and other leading scientists and mediums of the day concluded after investigating in a laboratory that Kate Fox was one of the most gifted physical mediums of the century capable of producing not only raps, but "spirit lights, direct writing, and the appearance of materialized hands," as well as the movement of objects at a distance. The later "confession" of her sister Margaret that she has been producing the raps by cracking her toes should be taken in the context that she was then an alcoholic, needed money, had been promised $1,500 (then a large sum of money) for an 'exclusive expose' and later retracted her confession.

MORE STUPIDITY AND MORE UTTER RUBBISH FROM THE ABC TV (SYDNEY) I just cannot believe how the public funded ABC continues to broadcast on Wednesday nights one of the world's worst television television shows on record. Presented by someone called Lawrence, the show The Unexplained is an attempt to attack the paranormal by someone who is a total amateur in psychic matters and ignorant of the facts has pushed idiocy to its extreme. Not only that, he indulges in DISHONESTY, MISREPRESENTATION, CHEATING, 'ENTRAPMENT' (trapping innocent subjects, a really dirty thing to do). He has lied about mediumship, lied about the ouija board, lied about psychic phenomena, lied about the Fox Sisters - and lied about so many other things. He has brought down the ABC standard to the sewer level to amuse a few actively anti-paranormal closed-minded skeptics. A show which appeals to the lowest 2% to 5% of the population. Those who are disgusted with our taxpayers' monies being squandered on this rubbish- write to your local Federal Member of Parliament.
