* Many see and hear friends who have gone before whom they have "called". Everyone is met by somebody.
Until the silver cord is broken (usually within a few minutes but with someone very materialistic can be up to a few days) the person will continue to be aware of the physical body and its surroundings. At this time they are often seen by people as they think about them.
* Many communicators describe the act of dying as 'easy', 'natural', and even 'delightful'.
* Once the 'silver cord' is snapped the average person who dies naturally enjoys a recuperative sleep lasting for three or four days. This can be lengthened as a result of a long and severe illness, excessive grief on the part of friends and relatives or the fixed idea that there is no afterlife which acts like a post-hypnotic suggestion.
*The above-average person who dies without exhausting illness, and whose friends replace selfish grief by quiet prayer, may have little or no sleep.
* Many declared that they were astonished that their death was so natural and that the new environment was real, familiar, pleasant, beautiful, and earth-like.
